“2015! People Pictures Emotions” – memories and unforgettable moments with nobeo

Just as “Dinner for One” is inextricably associated with New Year’s Eve in Germany, the live production of “People Pictures Emotions” unmistakably ushers in the pre-Christmas season for nobeo. Once again Günther Jauch joined us in Studio 8 to look back on stirring images, heartwarming fates, incredible experiences, and the people behind these stories. On the evening of St. Nicholas day (6 December) a blend of celebrity guest stars such as Sarah Connor, Til Schweiger, Helene Fischer and Robert Lewandowski, but also completely ordinary people, told us about their incredible personal experiences that made the news throughout 2015. On behalf of I&U Fernsehproduktions GmbH und CO KG, nobeo provided the perfect setting to record their uplifting to melancholic stories, their optimism, and their zest for life. As the musical highlight of the year Adele rounded off the evening with her current single.

Prince Charming or dead loss: “First dates” with nobeo

No less secretly, Warner Bros. International Television Production Deutschland GmbH engaged nobeo for the production of “First Dates.” Starting on 21 October, the internationally successful dating show from Britain seeks to pair up lonely hearts on sixx. With some modifications to perfectly integrate the recording technology and the Flight Case production set, nobeo installed 20 remote and finger cameras at Cologne restaurant campi. They recorded the candidates’ partly shy, partly bold attempts at flirting on eight production days, providing the material for post processing in a perfect tapeless work flow.

Stars, charity and a premiere: nobeo produces the “Toyota Live Show”

Celebrities and charity projects helped Toyota introduce its newest model. For the launch of the new Toyota Auris the manufacturer staged an entertaining live show in Cologne on 12 September 2015, made available to view via live stream at more than 400 Toyota partners throughout Germany. The unveiling of the new vehicle was presented by hosts Nazan Eckes and Oliver Geissen. At the same time the focus was on the dealers’ charity projects, supported by prominent guests like Axel Prahl, Jan Josef Liefers, Jana Ina Zarella, Atze Schröder or The Boss Hoss. On behalf of MB Produktions GmbH the stars of our mobile fleet, nobeo1 and the @-car, showcased their abilities in MPN Studio 1 and handled all the technical aspects of the show as well as the live streaming.

Euro Media Group acquires Netco Sports – expansion of second screen solutions

Euro Media Group has strengthened its digital strategy with the acquisition of Netco Sports, adding one of the leading providers of state-of-the-art second screen solutions to its portfolio. Established in 2009, Netco became a reliable partner for customers like FIFA, UEFA, the French football league, rugby and the football Premier League, and broadcasters like Canal+, Eurosport, and Fox Sport. The company operates from their headquarters in France and from international subsidiaries in Australia, Canada, Germany, Qatar, Singapore, Switzerland, the US, Great Britain, and other countries. Within the EMG Content Services division, Netco Sports will provide its second screen expertise for video processing and management solutions, video on demand (VOD), and over-the-top services (OTT). EMG’s audio-visual value added chain thus offers even more comprehensive digital competence in the future.

Large-scale gaming party: “Last Man Standing Generations” live at gamescom

gamescom 2015 closed with a record result: some 345,000 visitors from 96 countries came to the world’s largest computer and video gaming fair in Cologne from 5 to 9 August. Never have so many fans of digital games celebrated together – live on site and of course online too. nobeo’s expertise was required for the production of this extensive project in the exhibition halls on behalf of Studio 71. For “Last Man Standing Generations,” a live show lasting several hours with 3,500 viewers, a 20-strong crew coordinated the entire technical production of the show. The video signal was compiled from a total of 15 cameras and processed in our HD OB truck nobeo1, which provided broadcast signals for six live streams on a wide variety of online platforms. Besides the lighting design and other effects nobeo assumed technical responsibility as the full service provider of the epic Let’s Play event.

Jungle fever with nobeo: “I’m A Celebrity… Let Me Back In!”

The beginning of every year marks the return of the nation’s favourite topic: the RTL show “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” The upcoming season to celebrate the ten-year milestone in January 2016 led to a flurry of activity at the nobeo facilities. In nine special episodes of “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” former VIP candidates competed for the chance to take part again. nobeo Studio 8 was the hot spot for all fans and the setting of the daily live shows from 31 July to 8 August 2015. On behalf of ITV Studios Germany, Hollywood icon and 2012 jungle queen Brigitte Nielsen was inspired by our energy and won the ticket for her second visit to the camp Down Under.
